Welcome to Alfriston
Although Alfriston School is over 100 years old, little remains from that era as part of the school has been rebuilt since it's opening and additional facilities have continued to be added to cater for the increased roll growth since then.
In 1999, the Ministry of Education constructed a new library, computer centre and administration block. These facilities, along with a recently built Senior and Junior playground, three new shade areas, a Senior School Swimming Pool, a refurbished IT Suite, a Performing Arts Centre and an extensive planting programme have created an attractive environment apreciated by the whole school community.
As the school roll continues to increase more facilities are necessary to allow for an increase in opportunities for a positive learning environment for the students and staff of Alfriston.
