BICYCLES

Parents should use their discretion when allowing children to cycle to and from school.  Please be sure that your child can ride safely and obey road rules, during their journey to and from school.  By law, while riding bikes, all children must wear a suitable, standards approved, cycle helmet.

 BOOK CLUB ORDERS

At different intervals throughout the year Scholastic NZ Limited send out order forms for book club purchases, so that children can purchase reading books.  This is a purely voluntary service, with no pressure to buy.  The school handles the ordering and distribution of these books but we ask that you make cheques payable to SCHOLASTIC NZ LTD.

 BOARD OF TRUSTEES

The Board of Trustees is responsible for the administration of the school.  Made up of five elected members, a staff representative, the Principal and up to four co-opted members, the Board meets monthly in the school staffroom.  All parents and caregivers are notified of meeting dates, and times, through the school newsletter "INSIDE STORY".

BUSES

We have two school buses bringing children to school.  The service is fully funded by parents.  Payment is made directly to PAPAKURA BUS SERVICES.  Although the school is not involved with the funding of the bus, it is responsible for the behaviour of the children.  Excessive noise, or misbehaviour, can distract the bus driver causing an accident, consequently breaking of the rules will be dealt with severely.  Information on school bus routes is available from the office.

 CAR PARKING

Car parking is available on Mill Road, around the school hall and on Alfriston Rd.  In the summer months the paddock on Mill Rd is open for parking.  Please do not park past the goal posts.  Please DO NOT park in the staff car park during school hours.  Also keep clear of the bus stop during pick up and drop off times.
