Information Booklet

Portfolios

The portfolio shows a collection of student's work and achievements over time.  It is put together as a direct link to the classroom programme and is assembled specifically for assessment, recording and reporting.  Both the teacher and the pupils are involved in putting the portfolio together.

 LATE/SIGN OUT REGISTER

Students are required to arrive at school before 8.50am.  Late arrival causes disruption to class routines.  If your child is late, a parent/caregiver needs to call into the school office and fill in the "Late Register".  The child will be issued with a "Late Pass" which must then be handed to their class teacher.  Please do not send your child along to the office to complete the register themselves—a parent/caregiver needs to do this.
The "Sign Out" register is held at reception.  The duty of this register is to record children arriving at and leaving school for any reason.  Children cannot be picked up and taken out of school without the school being notified.  Please call in and complete this register if you are removing your child from the school grounds.

 LIBRARY

The school library is our most valuable non-human resource.  We encourage its extensive use and urge children to read as widely as possible.  Parent's help at home is very valuable in developing good reading habits and interests.  Each class has regular visits to the school library.

 LOST PROPERTY

Lost Property is the bane of any school existence.   If your child loses any clothing at school, please ask them to go through the lost property, this is collected and held in the foyer area of our ICT block.  When visiting the school we urge parents to periodically check the lost property.  Clothing left in the lost property bin, at the end of any school year, will be passed onto the Salvation Army.
To minimize our lost property, we request that all clothing, including underwear, socks, shoes togs and towels be named.
