Sickness or Accidents cont….
Medication
Please keep us informed if your child is on any form of medication at any time. If medication is required to be taken during school time, children must hand medication to the teacher for safe keeping. A written note regarding treatment is essential.
Allergies
If a child has an allergy, or physical condition, about which the school should know, please advise us in writing. Labeled medication bottles may be left in the sick bay.
SWIMMING
As part of the school's physical education programme, children are taken for swimming every suitable day during the summer.
Having all clothing named is essential when children are swimming. It is also essential that children swim as often as possible.
Please assist staff by ensuring swimming gear is brought to school daily, or provide a note explaining why non-participation is necessary.
SWIMMING POOL
The swimming pool is available for use by the community after school hours. A key may be purchased through the school for a small cost. When purchasing a key a contract must be completed to ensure compliance of the school pool rules. Please ensure the area is left secure after swimming.
WORKING BEES
Periodically the school requires help for construction, maintenance, collection or repair of various fixtures in and about its buildings and grounds. The money saved by using voluntary labour, is diverted into purchasing equipment and resources for the school.
