From the Principal

Term 4 is upon us and we are super excited about the many opportunities to celebrate alongside you, our school whānau / community. Let’s live our school vision “A community of learners supporting each other to ensure everyone reaches their full potential’.

A reminder to book Monday 11 December for the Time to Shine Picnic/Concert (4.30pm – 7.30pm) and Friday 15 December for Prize Givings (Years 0-3 at 9am and Years 4-8 at 11am).

Planning for 2024 is underway, here are our 2024 SCHOOL DATES:

TERM 1 – Wednesday 7th February 2024 to 12 April

TERM 2 – Monday 29 April to Friday 5 July

TERM 3 – Monday 22 July to Friday 27 September

TERM 4 – Monday 14 October to Friday 20 December

TEACHER ONLY DAYS: Friday 31 May and Friday 15 November

Elections – Voting Tomorrow……Saturday 14th October 2023

Alfriston School is a voting place tomorrow. Come in and see Mrs Cook and the team in the PAC to vote 🙂

3-way conferences – booking information

Written reports will be sent home on Tuesday 24th of October and Three Way Conferences will be the following two days, Wednesday 25th, and Thursday 26th of October. We ask that all whānau attend these meetings and that the learner is present.

UNIFORM Reminders

Hats! Hats! Hats! Hats!

Are you ready for Term 4?

We ask that caregivers support us by ensuring our uniform expectations are followed. A few reminders:

Learners are to wear plain black shoes to school.
The only jewellery items to be worn are a watch, stud earrings and if required an item of cultural significance (this should be discussed with Mrs Cook or Mrs Galvin).
Additional layers of clothing under our uniform for warmth should be grey in colour.
Hair below the collar is tied up using black, brown, white or navy hair ties.
