Tomorrow is Cross Country Day and the weather is looking good.
Alfriston School Cross Country Day – we ask that all learners:
● Wear suitable running shoes – appropriate for running in muddy conditions; not school shoes.
● Bring a named, full drink bottle of water.
● Wear a t-shirt in their house colours
● Have warm clothing, a rain jacket (in case of rain), a change of clothes (their school uniform) and a change of shoes, should they get muddy.
● A towel to wipe off before going back into class and a suitable bag to put wet gear into.
We warmly invite all parents and whānau to attend and support their children during the event. All learners are expected to remain at school and support their peers throughout the event. If you would like to take your child(ren) home after the event, you are welcome to do so. The process is as follows:
Meet your child at their classroom when classes return from the field at approximately 1:15pm.
Sign the sign-out sheet provided in the classroom (there is no need to visit the school office).
See the attached timetable of events, we will endeavour to keep to times but please arrive earlier than the scheduled year group event so you do not miss your child running.
