South Auckland Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon

We have some exciting news to share with our Alfriston School community!

We have been fortunate enough to be gifted a limited number of subsidised entries to the South Auckland Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon, allowing our tamariki to participate for just $5 per child (plus courier costs)! These discounted entries are available on a first come, first served basis, so we encourage interested families to get in touch early to avoid missing out!

The event is being held on Tuesday 24 November at Mountfort Park, Manurewa and is open to children aged 6–15 years. Participants can swim, cycle and run their way around age-appropriate courses, either individually or in a team of two. There is also a Splash & Dash option for 6-year-olds, which is a great introduction to the event and includes just the swim and run disciplines.

Important Event Information
Registration Kit Delivery: When registering, you can choose to have your child’s registration kit couriered directly to school. Please note that the deadline for selecting courier delivery to school is Thursday 22 October. Once the packs arrive, we will send them home with your child.

Parent Responsibility: This is a parent-supervised event. Parents/caregivers are responsible for completing their child’s registration, arranging transport to and from the venue, and supervising their child throughout the day.

Gear: Each child will receive an official Weet-Bix TRYathlon t-shirt and swimming cap as part of their registration pack. Participants will need to provide all other equipment, including their own bike and helmet.

Alfriston School Base Camp: We will have our school gazebo set up at the event as a meeting point for our students and whānau, with plenty of sunscreen available and a place for families to base themselves throughout the day.

Sharni will provide interested families with the discount code, registration link and further instructions. Please remember that discounted entries are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

This is a wonderful opportunity for our tamariki to experience the excitement and sense of achievement that comes with completing a TRYathlon, all at a greatly reduced cost!
