GUMBOOT DAY TOMORROW – 3RD NOVEMBER

Evening All Sorry for the late email……we’ve heard that some people haven’t received / seen the ‘Gumboot Day’ information. If you haven’t please don’t stress at this time, your child can wear gumboots or any special shoes and donate a gold coin to the great cause. 🙂 ORIGINAL INFORMATION: We invite all learners, teachers and our community to come into school on Friday wearing their gumboots. Please bring a gold coin to support the I AM HOPE foundation. Gold coins will be collected outside of the office during the school day. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT A MUFTI DAY, JUST GUMBOOTS WITH UNIFORM Why gumboots? For people struggling with depression, it can feel like walking through mud every day. So this Friday, we’re asking you to show your support, put your gumboots on, give a gold coin, and take a walk in their shoes for just one day. It’s a fun way for kiwis to join in the mental health conversation, while raising money to provide free and timely counselling for any young person in need
